Frontage of a legendary Hotel
The owners of this prestigious traditional Hotel in the heart of South Kensington wanted to enhance the frontage of their building with some lush planting.
Luxurious planting
Architectural Palm trees, planted in pots on the first floor terrace and on the ground floor, reinforce the colonial style of the Hotel interior design. Decking over the basement light well had to be reinforced to bear the load for the two newly planted palm trees.
Phormiums planted in black colonial pots frame both of the entrances.
Structural box balls on the window ledges soften the spiky texture of the tropical plants.
Lavender and ivy are evenly planted on both sides of the Hotel entrances. Pedestrians in the summer were confronted by the exquisite fragrance of the lavender in bloom.
